Matriculating Student Questionnaire (MSQ)
The Matriculating Student Questionnaire (MSQ) is administered each
year by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) to all
first year medical students.
The Web-based questionnaire asks first year medical students to
share their thoughts on a variety of topics, such as:
- Pre-med experience
- Opinions about the medical school application process
- Reasons for choosing medical school
- Future career goals
Student responses to the MSQ are analyzed and then reported, in
aggregrate, to each participating medical school. This feedback
helps medical schools fine-tune their educational programs to fit
the needs of their students.
2009 MSQ Is Now Open
The 2009 MSQ is now
open to medical students accepted this year. Students are encouraged
to complete the survey as soon as they are sure which medical school
they are or will be attending.
