The AAMC is now accepting registrations for the GBA Principal Business Officers' Meeting to be held in Toronto, Ontario, September 18-20, 2008.

The program includes sessions on:

  • Regulatory issues
  • Hospital financing
  • Faculty as entrepreneurs
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Clinical service funds flow to multidisciplinary centers

Dr. David Naylor, the President of the University of Toronto will deliver the opening session which will focus on the future of the Canadian health care system compared with the trajectory of the US system.

Invitations to the meeting are extended to the Principal Business Officer (PBO) at each medical school. Substitutes are not permitted, and a staff member is welcome to register for the meeting only when he/she accompanies a PBO.

To promote the professional development of staff, PBOs are encouraged to bring one senior staff member to attend the meeting with the PBO.

Please note that you must be a member of an AAMC member-institution to attend this meeting.
