The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) is committed to
providing all individuals with an opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency
on the MCAT exam, and that includes ensuring access to those with disabilities
in accordance with relevant law.
Students with disabilities who feel adjustment(s) are necessary are encouraged
to apply for accommodated testing.
How do you know if you need accommodated testing?
You need to apply for accommodations if you have a condition or disability
for which you would like to request a deviation from the standard testing
environment. For example, presentation of testing materials in large print,
extra testing time, a separate testing room, or an authorization to bring
in an inhaler, water, or hard candy all constitute accommodated testing.
