The AAHCI Student Leadership Initiative (ASLI) was created to challenge health profession students at academic health centers to submit proposals sharing new ideas or innovative programs tackling key topics in health professions education.
Students at AAHCI member institutions were invited to submit proposal abstracts for the 2025 ASLI theme: “AI in Health Professions Education,” and a committee review process resulted with finalists across the globe.
Criteria for the review included: Inspires research and innovation in artificial intelligence to address new challenges in academic health; addresses the impact of artificial intelligence on professionalism, patient care, and/or patient safety; encourages academic health centers to promote and develop innovative programs and models that integrate artificial intelligence in health professions.

In this session, facilitators from the AAMC Group on Education Affairs (GEA) pull back the curtain on how to design and implement impactful AI faculty development in medical education. As part of the session, you will walk away with tangible AI faculty development tips and tricks and learn about ways to engage in upcoming GEA-hosted virtual faculty development.

“AI in Medical Education Selection: AAMC’s Toolkit for Responsible Implementation”
The AAMC, in collaboration with its Technical Advisory Committee, has developed a toolkit to support medical schools and residency programs in responsibly integrating AI into their admissions and selection processes. This webinar introduced the toolkit and provided guidance on applying the AAMC’s Principles for Responsible AI Use to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability.
